About the Opportunity
We're seeking a relationship-driven Logistics Operations Specialist to join a growing transportation and operations team. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely issue resolution, effective communication, and exceptional service delivery.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, coordinating logistics activities, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same.
Candidates with backgrounds in logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, dispatch, account management, operations support, or client services are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding operational and service-related inquiries
- Monitor and respond to requests received through phone, email, and internal systems
- Research and resolve shipment, carrier, payment, and service-related issues
- Track, document, and communicate issue resolution progress to customers and stakeholders
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure timely service and successful outcomes
- Support carrier onboarding, account maintenance, and relationship management activities
- Maintain accurate records, notes, and documentation within company systems
- Assist with operational reporting, customer communications, and service tracking
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
- Provide exceptional customer service while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Participate in special projects and operational initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, operations support, dispatch, supply chain, account support, carrier relations, or client services
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Preferred
- Transportation, logistics, freight, or supply chain experience
- Experience working directly with carriers, drivers, vendors, or customers
- Customer-facing operations or account management experience
- Experience researching and resolving billing, shipment, or service issues
- Transportation Management System (TMS) or CRM experience
- Exposure to operational reporting and process improvement initiatives
